Cocks Comb Island - Day Trip (Joint Tour)
 (Snorkeling AND Stunning Beaches)

Departure from: Kawthaung (Myanmar) or Ranong (Thailand)

If you depart from Kawthaung (Myanmar), please make your own way to the Myo Ma Jetty (9 AM). If you depart from Ranong (Thailand) you will be picked up from your hotel / guesthouse (between 7:15 and 7:45 AM). Our team will help you through immigration process.

The Mergui Archipelago counts around 800 islands and 4000 islets. On today’s our excursion will bring us to four of them. Our first stop is Cocks Comb Island, which is a limestone atoll without a beach, but with a stunning lagoon, shape like a heart. The inlet changes the color of the ocean and that’s why it is also called Emerald Heart Island. (Please note: Sometimes weather and tide conditions can make entrance difficult and the tour guide will need to make a decision for all participants on the spot).

We continue to Paradise Island for snorkeling. You can see a big diversity of hard and soft coral. Next up is Horse Shoe Island where we enjoy buffet lunch on a paradise beach. While approaching the beach make sure you have you camera ready, the incredible cliff walls, which form this island look like a horse shoe.

We continue towards St. Matthews Island better known under its Burmese name Zar Det Gyi Kyun. Here we find another great place for snorkeling. We might spot, lion fish, clown fish (nemo), sea anemones, giant clams and rock lobster (crayfish).

We will return in the afternoon back to Grand Andaman Hotel for showers and buffet dinner. Afterwards you can use the free shuttle boat (every 30 min) to Kawthaung jetty or we take you back to Ranong Site and your hotel after the tour. If you wish to skip the dinner at Grand Andaman Hotel and proceed straight back to Kawthaung, please let you tour guide know.

Please note: The Mergui Archipelago will be a joint tour with other customers, mainly Asian who cannot swim very well or at all. They will be the majority on the tour especially on weekends and public holidays. Therefore the tour is designed for them to feel comfortable. The program may change depending on tie and weather conditions. Participants need to submit their personal details (copy of passport and E Visa or visa stamp). We do not recommend pregnant customers and customers with back ache to join the trip.

Please note: If you want to depart for Ranong (Thailand) the same day you will need to skip dinner to reach Kawthaung immigration in time. If you start and finish you trip in Ranong you can enjoy dinner and you guide will inform you about timing.

• 10:15 AM Exploring at Cocks Comb Island

• 10:45 AM Snorkeling at Paradise Beach

• 12.30 PM Lunch on a remote beach (Buffet)

• 01.30 PM Snorkeling at Zar Det Gyi Kyun

• 04.00 – 4:30 PM Return to Grand Andaman Hotel for buffet dinner (optional)

• 06:00-08:30 PM Take the shuttle boat back to Kawthaung Myoma Jetty

Please note: If you want to join the tour from Ranong (Thailand) you will need a valid visa (50 USD - www.evisa.moip.gov.mm/NewApplication.aspx) for Immigration process (Free for Thai, Singaporean,Korean and Japanese Citizen).
