Speed Boat Adventure with Bailey Island

1ST DAY:

We pick you up in the morning (8:30 AM) from your hotel and transfer you to Seik Nge Jetty. We can also start the same day and pick you up from Myeik airport if you arrive with the first flight from Yangon (around 8:00 AM). Please leave your main luggage with your hotel or in our office.

We will cruise pass Kadan Island. On the way in the mangrove forest of the Tanintharyi river delta we can see some domestic shore birds. Our first stop will be Dome Water Fall which drops right in the ocean. Feel free to go for a swim there.

Afterwards we continue towards Dome Nyaung Mine Aw Sea Gypsy village. There we can learn how simple life can be without bank accounts and insurance from the sea gypsies. The also called “Moken” people live on the sea during the dry season and only seek shelter during the heavy rainy season. We observe the small settlement without disturbing the people. We will have lunch in the village.

After lunch we drive over to Smart Island. We have a wander over the island, which has a rocky stone beach on one site and a sandy one on the other side. The white sand beach and its rock formation offer great photo opportunities with the turquoise waters as a background. So don’t forget your camera and ask your guide for assistance. Afterwards we go snorkeling at nearby reef.

We arrive around 3:30 PM to Thein Ni Aw Bay where we have time to snorkel and relax on your own beach. We set up your tents and prepare dinner for you while you have time to snorkel or kayak.

2ND DAY:

Say good morning to the sun while waking up. We prepare a breakfast for you. Around 9 AM we are aiming to leave for Kyail Laik or Star Fish Island. After 1.5 hours we have two snorkeling sites to choose from Flower Garden, plenty of reef fish and colorful corals awaiting you here.

Our second snorkel site is behind Dana Theik Island. There is a coral garden, which houses squid. The hard coral formations have its own characteristic

We set over to Eagle Bay on Dana Theik Di Island, where we will have picnic lunch. The rocks are our tables and chairs. Enjoy your own pristine white beach, with the softest sand under your feet. Watch the eagles flying high over you as this island habitats large sea eagle colonization.

Afterwards we continue to Bailey Island, where another stunning snorkeling site is waiting for us. Between hard coral boulders you find tree and soft coral. Bailey offers always stunning visibility even on high tides and houses sea horse, which look like a sea cucumber with a sea horse face.

In the early afternoon we return to our camp. The rest of the day is to your own leisure. Take the kayak for sunset or read a little bit in your favorite booked.

We prepare Dinner for you and a camp fire for the night. After dinner we invite you for a night swim to see the fluorescent. It is a one in a life time experience. While you moving your oxygen is activating the light inside the plankton.

3rd DAY:

After breakfast we drive to Padan Island which is well known for great snorkeling. On the way you might be lucky and spot some dolphins. We have two different sites for you. One is a long reef with great coral and fish, which lays deeper and has no signs of bleaching at all. We had luck to see manta rays hear, but it is a rare site. The other one is a shallow reef with lots of soft corals housing nemo fish and boulders. After snorkeling with have some time on the beach before heading back to our camp for lunch.

After lunch we back up and relax for the rest of our time before we drive back to Myeik and transfer you back to your hotel.

Please note: The Mergui Archipelago will be a joint tour with other customers. The program may change depending on tie and weather conditions. Participants need to submit their personal details. We do not recommend pregnant customers and customers with back ache to join the trip.
